Janelle van Onselen Biokineticist helps those suffering from heart disease, hypertension, diabetes or obesity take back control. Kickstart your lifestyle change with an 8 week cardiac program guided by expert professionals in biokinetics & nutrition.

  • Comprehensive initial consultation with a biokineticist and dietician before starting
  • 3 x weekly group exercise sessions (max. 4 individuals) with a biokineticist
  • 5 x follow up body composition assessment and progress discussion with a dietician
  • Introduction to CrossFit training with CrossFit Hout Bay in Week 8
Learn more about each session below:
Initial biokineticist consultation will include: 
  • Comprehensive medical history
  • Recording of blood pressure, lung function, heart rate and oxygen saturation.
  • Physical work assessment (walking on a treadmill or cycle)
  • Posture analysis
  • Strength and flexibility measurements
  • Injury analysis if necessary
Weekly group exercise sessions will include: 
  • Vital signs recorded at the start and finish of an exercise session
  • Group led sessions with a maximum of 4 individuals per class, to allow for tailoring of exercises to the individuals and current COVID distancing regulations.
  • Cardiovascular, strength and mobility exercises. 
Initial dietician consultation will include: 
  • Medical history
  • Goal setting
  • Body composition assessment
  • Meal planning
5 x follow up sessions with dietician will include:
  • Follow up body composition assessment & progress discussion
